Burnt Heath Camping

Burnt Heath Camping is a small rural campsite amidst the beautiful villages and lanes of North Essex. Burnt Heath is a hamlet, close to Manningtree, Dedham, Harwich and Colchester, and the site itself is situated within 16 acres of meadows and orchards. It is ideal for small groups and those wanting a quiet, countryside experience. 

We have a handful of pitches, suitable for campervans, motorhomes and tents. We have a 'leave no trace' approach, and we try to create all our systems and structures from reclaimed materials. 

Burnt Heath Camping is a predominantly off-grid site. We are open on limited dates across the end of the summer and autumn 2025. There is fresh drinking water and a compost toilet, plus lots of open space, opportunities for cooking outside, and the perfect vistas for star gazing. As yet there are no showers, but they are in the pipeline for 2026.
