Burnt Heath Camping

Burnt Heath Camping is a small rural campsite close to Manningtree, Harwich and Colchester. It is situated within 16 acres of meadows and orchards and is ideal for small groups and those wanting a quiet countryside experience. 

We have a small number of pitches, suitable for campervans, motorhomes and tents. We have a 'leave no trace' approach, and we try to create all our systems and structures from reclaimed materials. 

We are a predominantly off-grid site and are open on limited dates across the summer and autumn. There is fresh drinking water, and compost loos, plus lots of open space, opportunities for cooking outside, and the perfect vista for star gazing. As yet there are no showers, but they are in the pipeline for 2026!
